The Reserve is a planned Australian rules football complex in the Springfield region of the Brisbane metropolitan area. It will be the training and administration base of the Brisbane Lions and the home ground of the club's AFL Women's and NEAFL teams.

History

Budgeted at $70 million, funding was secured in January 2019 when the Australian Government announced it would contribute $15 million to the project.[1] The Queensland Government promised it would match any contribution from the Australian Government. The Lions had already secured $18 million from the Springfield Land Corporation and $12 million from Ipswich City Council while the club and the AFL have combined to contribute $10 million.[2]

The Lions are hopeful the project will be completed by 2021.[1]

Facilities

The complex will include a stadium with a capacity of around 10,000 spectators, training and administration facilities for the Brisbane Lions, plus community facilities.[3] It will be located adjacent to Springfield Central railway station.
