Macquarie University station (Sydney)
Macquarie University station is a future metro station serving the Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park including the nearby Macquarie University and the Macquarie shopping centre. It will be served by Sydney Metro's North West line.
History
As a railway station
Macquarie University station opened on 23 February 2009 on the same date as the Epping to Chatswood railway line.[1][2]
Conversion to metro
Macquarie University station closed in September 2018 for conversion to a metro station as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project. This included the installation of platform screen doors to separate the platform from the tracks.[3]
