Sports are any physical activities that are played as games on a professional level. Popular sports include soccer (also called football), basketball, tennis, and cricket. However, there are many, many different sports played around the world; some of them, especially those played in the United States, have a national focus. The main sports in the United States, besides soccer, are basketball, baseball, and American football.
