North Ryde station is a future metro station serving the Sydney suburb of North Ryde. It will be served by the North West Line of the Sydney Metro network.

History

As a railway station

North Ryde station opened on 23 February 2009 as part of the Epping to Chatswood railway line.[1][2]

The original, proposed name of the station was Delhi Road after the adjacent street. On 12 June 2006, North Ryde Railway Station was proposed to the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales as the official name of the station.[3]

Conversion to metro

North Ryde station closed in September 2018 for conversion to a metro station as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project. This included the installation of platform screen doors to separate the platform from the tracks.[4]
