Thönmi Sambhota (Tibetan: ཐོན་མི་སམྦྷོ་ཊ་, Wylie: thon mi sam+b+ho Ta) (7th century AD) was a Tibetan minister under King Songtsen Gampo. He developed an alphabet for the Tibetan language and wrote some of the most important treatises on Tibetan grammar.
