Jacob Churg born in Dołhinów in 1933 migrated to the USA in 1936 became associated with Mt.Sinai Hospital being appointed Professor of Pathology in 1966 [1] Churg, together with Lotte Strauss, has given his name to Churg–Strauss syndrome, now known as eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis.
