Echinopsis chiloensis ist eine Pflanzenart in der Gattung Echinopsis aus der Familie der Kakteengewächse (Cactaceae). Das Epitheton der Art verweist auf die Insel Chiloé, von der man fälschlicherweise annahm, dass die Art dort verbreitet sei. Der botanische Name der Gattung leitet sich von den griechischen Worten „έχίνος“ (echinos) für Igel und „όψις“ (opsis) für „Aussehen“ ab.[2] |
