Welcome at the Tavern
Here we talk about Wikisage and everything that is related to it.

Tip: first check if the topic is perhaps already being discussed in the tavern.

Tavern in Holland (Taveerne)

Tavern name

Who can think of a good name for the tavern? Guido den Broeder 13:14, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

"The Open Door"? MEagenda 14:03, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I don't mind "tavern". --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 20:27, 23 February 2019 (CET)

Dutch Wikisage

Hi all (hi Guido ;-)), a quick question: why is it not possible to create an account on the Dutch Wikisage? I do not see the option "create an account" there. Thanks in advance, cheers, Eve 09:50, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Eve, nl:Wikisage is at the moment closed for maintenance. Regards, Guido den Broeder 12:41, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah thanks, then I'll try again later. Cheers! Eve 13:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
And open again ;)Tjako 21:07, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Software update

The software that Wikisage runs on has been updated to Mediawiki 1.16.0. Regards, Guido den Broeder 11:50, 5 August 2010 (CEST)

We're once more fully upgraded. Cheers, Guido den Broeder (talk) 23:38, 1 October 2014 (CEST)

Last night we installed the latest version, Mediawiki 1.32. Guido den Broeder (talk) 03:16, 31 January 2019 (CET)

United States

Hi! I noticed that there is no article for the United States. Would anyone mind if I created one? Are there any rules about citing sources on this wiki? --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 02:34, 20 February 2019 (CET)

I think I'll just go ahead and create the article. If anyone disagrees, feel free to contact me on my talk page. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 20:25, 23 February 2019 (CET)
Yes, by all means go ahead. Someone has to be first! If you copy text from another wiki with a free license, put the permanent link to their version that you copied from in your edit summary. Guido den Broeder (talk) 12:33, 24 February 2019 (CET)
Okay, I'll follow that if I decide to use text from another wiki. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 18:42, 24 February 2019 (CET)
Which I’ve just done. Ancient Israel is from an article on Wikivoyage that some of the editors there didn’t want, so I copied some of the content here. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 18:11, 8 April 2019 (CEST)

Template:Ping

Just tried to use this template but apparently we don’t have it here. Could we import it from another wiki site? Or do we have the technology for it on this wiki? Would be nice to have, if possible.

Also wanted to add, great work has been done on this wiki. We’re now at 663 articles according to the main page. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 03:37, 30 April 2019 (CEST)

Hi, you can copy templates from elsewhere just like you can copy articles. Put the permalink to the version you copy in the edit summary. Note that sometimes templates make use of other templates, which we would then need as well. Although the basic software may be the same, we may lack certain extensions so not everything will work here. Guido den Broeder (talk) 20:30, 9 May 2019 (CEST)
Thanks, that makes sense! My only concern is that there is no notifications icon in the menu area in the top-right corner as is the case in some wikis, which perhaps makes the template's operation impossible. I can try though and see what happens. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 01:01, 10 May 2019 (CEST)
