Welcome
Hello Penarc, most welcome to the English-language Wikisage!
Wikisage is a free encyclopedia, to which everyone can contribute. We are looking forward to your input.
Information about the use of Wikisage can a.o. be found through the portals Help, Community and Wikisage. If you have any questions, you can always visit the helpdesk.
Each user has a personal talk page, like this one. If someone writes here, you are alerted by an orange bar. Each article has a talk page as well. Sign your messages on talk pages and discussion pages like the helpdesk by putting four tildes ~. Your username and the time of writing will then be added automatically. You can also use the second button from the right above the editing window.
There is a waiting time of 48 hours before you can start editing. You also need to confirm your email address first (see 'my preferences').

Greetings and salutations!, --Lidewij (talk) 11:38, 16 July 2015 (CEST)

What?

Are you actually putting computer translations here? Mendelo (talk) 03:02, 1 January 2016 (CET)

Singular

On Wikisage, categories generally have a singular name. For example: Category: American politician, not politicians'. (Some exceptions may be found, but normally a singular should be used.) Mendelo (talk) 10:25, 1 January 2016 (CET)

Happy new year Mendelo

I see the categories go in singular--Penarc (talk) 14:53, 1 January 2016 (CET)

Penarc, surely thanks that you want to help, but actually, I am rather upset when you put links to very incomplete or bad articles in the Dutch articles. Mendelo (talk) 06:50, 28 April 2016 (CEST)
I mean: I am sure that there are many interesting, fascinating, memorable or forgotten things in so many areas about which you could write a good article. Mendelo (talk) 15:59, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

Borders

Hello Peña RC,

I don't know why you add those strange borders to pictures. Actually, there aren't pretty.

IF EVER a colored border is needed, there are other ways to add a border without editing the picture. Mendelo (talk) 23:18, 14 November 2016 (CET)

So why do you still keep on adding colored borders to the picture files? Mendelo (talk) 01:51, 29 March 2017 (CEST)

Pali

I'll see what I can do about your request for an article on this, but it might be quite a while. I'd probably do it on Citizendium first, as they have the EditTools, which make life a lot easier. Peter jackson (talk) 10:59, 22 March 2019 (CET)

Categories for Ancient Israel

I've made a category for Bible under religion, which is in turn under culture.

I've added category:history back into Ancient Israel so it has two categories, first Bible and then History. This is because it also mentions the secular view (see the lower section of the article) and therefore gives both historical interpretations of the history of the region. Does that make more sense? Thanks! --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 06:00, 16 April 2019 (CEST)

Harvey Dubner

I'm happy you're at wikisage. Re Harvey Dubner, 99% of the material is original, not from WikiPutz. Can you change your comment to "A few sentences ..." rather than "Some...." Thanks. Drlesmgolden (talk) 23:37, 25 April 2019 (CEST)

Actually I think that may have been me. Hope you don’t mind I’ve been adding credits to some of your articles. I’ll adjust the Harvey Dubner article though. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 03:26, 30 April 2019 (CEST)
Done, changed to “short portions” which I think sums up the idea well. Thanks for your input. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 03:29, 30 April 2019 (CEST)
Template:Ping If you prefer different wording just let me know. I currently have this page on my watchlist. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 03:33, 30 April 2019 (CEST)

Yiddish

Thanks for your additions! Drlesmgolden (talk) 14:24, 7 May 2019 (CEST)

References

Thanks for editing some more of the articles which are on my watchlist.

I’ve been using <references /> to display references in articles to which I’ve contributed. I notice you’re replacing them with {{refs}}. Don’t worry, I don’t mind at all, I’d just like to be clear on whether or not that’s the standard so I get it right in future. Thanks. --SelfieCity (talk|contributions) 17:57, 11 May 2019 (CEST)
