P Dezitter was a top officer of the German Abwehr during the Second World War.

Prosper was the son of Peter Dezitter. He was sentenced at the age of 20 to three years in prison for rape. He fled to Canada in 1913 with the SS Megantic. He lived in Winnipeg and was called in 1918 to serve in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, Manitoba Regiment. After ten days he was transferred to the RAF in Toronto and served there until December 21, 1918. His file states that he was Catholic and unmarried, and that his father and sister lived in France.

On August 14, 1919, he married the 19-year-old English Lilian Stanbury, and gave his name as Jack Prosper and his birthplace as Boulogne. In 1926 he left his wife and returned to Belgium. He became a car salesman in Antwerp and later set up his own company. He married Germaine Princen, after which he was convicted of bigamy and had to go to jail for five years[1]
