Het osmaterium (van het Griekse osmè, stank) is een defensief orgaan dat wordt aangetroffen bij de larven van soorten uit het vlinderfamilie der pages (Papilionidae).

The osmaterium (from the Greek ὀσμή, ὀσμητός, odor) is a defensive body is found in the larvae of butterfly species from the family of the Swallowtail caterpillars (Papilionidae).
