The ME Association is a charity in the United Kingdom that provides information and support and raises funds for research into myalgic encephalopathy / chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).

According to the association, the fact that key features of ME, "muscle fatigability and pain, and post-exertional malaise" are not required in various definitions of CFS, suggests that not everyone diagnosed with CFS may have the disease ME as it was originally described (as myalgic encephalomyelitis) by A. Melvin Ramsay.[1]
