Kristina Pimenova (Russian: Кристина Пименова, born 27 December 2005 in Moscow)[2] is a popular Russian child model, working with fashion houses around the world,[3] and actress. She is the youngest daughter of football player Ruslan Pimenov and economist Glikeriya Shirokova.

With symmetrical features, 'bottomless grey-blue eyes' and lavish long hair,[4] Pimenova has been called 'the most beautiful girl in the world' since age eight, and has attracted millions of followers on the social media.[5] In some pictures, however, she looks too sexy for her age, according to public comments.[6]

Originally managed by her mother, Pimenova signed a contract with L.A. Models in 2016 after moving with her mother from Moscow to the celebrity town of Calabasas in California. According to Glikeriya Pimenova, the United States offered better opportunities for her daughter's career than Russia.[7]

Early years

In Moscow Kristina practiced rhythmic gymnastics, trained by former world champion Olga Kapranova.[10] In 2013, she competed in a gymnastics tournament in Tatarstan, organized by Alina Kabaeva.[8] She won one gold medal in her age group.[3]

September 2015, Pimenova moved to Calabasas, California with her mother.[7] Since February 2016, she is represented by L.A. Models (Los Angeles) and its sister agency N.Y. Models (New York).[11] Judged to be an artist with an extraordinary ability, she was granted a work visa.[12]

Under contract, she has worked as a fashion model for a variety of brands such as Guess Kids, Hayden Girls,[10] C&A, Claire's, Equestria Girls, Forever 21, H&M Kids, Levi's, Ralph Lauren, The Children's Place.

Pimenova appeared in Numéro Russia (April 2016) and Vogue Bambini (May 2016). She was interviewed for Posh Kids Magazine (November 2016).[13] A documentary about Pimenova aired on RTL Television in October 2016.[7] She remained active for Kids-Tokei, flying to Guilin, China in November 2016.

Actress

Pimenova played a post-production part as a singing child in the Italian fantasy film Creators: The Past.[14] In her interview for Posh Kids Magazine, she expressed her wish to become a professional actress and film director.[13] She has been cast for the role of Dasha in Michael S. Ojeda's upcoming film The Russian Bride, a horror thriller, co-starring with Corbin Bernsen and Oksana Orlan. A 3-minute promotional trailer was published on January 18, 2017.[10] Production took place March 2017, in Michigan.[15]


Biography

Kristina Pimenova is the youngest daughter of ex-football player Ruslan Pimenov and Glikeriya Shirokova, who studied international corporate finance, both from Russia. Teams that Pimenov played for include FC Dinamo Minsk and FC Lokomotiv Moscow, as well as the Russian national football team. Kristina has an older sister.[8]

Kristina was born in Moscow, but lived in France with her parents until the age of three. She began her modeling career at the end of 2009 on her fourth birthday.

By age nine, Pimenova had already signed contracts with Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2, Ermanno Scervino, Replay, Fendi, Benetton and many other brands. She featured in numerous advertising campaigns, among them Roberto Cavalli Junior en Armani Junior.[16][8] In July 2015 Pimenova appeared in Vogue Italia, known for its artistic photography.

In an interview for Posh Kids Magazine Pimenova expressed the desire to become an actress and a film director.[20]

In 2016, Pimenova played a supporting role as a singing girl in the Italian fantasy movie Creators:The Past. She was subsequently cast for the role of Dasha in de horror film The Russian Bride.[21]

Promotional activities

On Facebook Pimenova has a page with over 4.4 million likes by the end of 2016, and on Instagram she has more than 1.8 million followers. Both social media accounts are managed by her mother, Glikeriya. She denies that some photos of her daughter are provocative or that Kristina is exploited financially, as some commentators suggest.[22][8]

Buratino Labs, a short-lived indie game developer, published the free online computer game Kristina Dress Up on 4 July 2015. It has been downloaded over 100.000 times. A website promoting the game was taken down before the end of 2015.
