From 1999 to December 2005, Johnson was editor of the conservative newsmagazine The Spectator. Since 2015, he represents the constituency Uxbridge and South Ruislip in West Greater London in the lower house, which he had already been from 2001 to 2008 for Henley. He was Mayor of London from May 2008 to May 2016 and British Foreign Minister from July 2016 to July 2018.
