Angel Metodiev (1921 - 1984) was a Bulgarian painter and woodcarver.
He was a professor at the National Art Academy in Sofia from 1951 to 1970. He developed his own pedagogical method for learning the art of painting.
Angel Metodiev is known for his classic landscapes, portraits, body images and carvings. He is the father of the harpist Amira Metodieva.
